What is skateboard?

Skateboarding is a specially designed wooden boards combined with four wheels and eight bearings. System designed to both movement and actions, which are used mainly for skateboarding activities. Skateboarding originated in California, the United States in late 1970. In the mid-1980s they produced and sold throughout the United States.


Skateboard used in a way driven by one leg while the other foot remains on the board. Skateboarding can also be used just by standing on the deck while on the downward slope and allowing gravity to push the board and rider. If you ride with your right foot forward, your balance will be unstable and if you ride with your left leg forward, then your balance will be stable and orderly.


Historically, boards have been appropriate design for both contemporary and trend to the ever growing array of action by the driver / user, which requires certain functionality from the board. Of course, form the board depends on the desired function. Longboards is a type of skateboard with a longer wheelbase and bigger, softer wheels. also there are some basic techniques such as grinding on a skateboard, kickflip, etc..
